Christmas 2016 break

What a blessing it has been to study the Gospel of John this fall with men from all across Edmonton. This post is to inform everyone that the last Evening Men's BSF class before Christmas will be on Tuesday, December 13th. We will have a month-long break and resume our class on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

Also note that the BSF Young Adult discussion group at Lansdowne Chinese Baptist Church will have their last meeting on Thursday, December 15th and resume on Thursday, January 12, 2017.

Please remember that newcomers are always welcome! We also still have room for new children to join our school-age program. Continue to invite your family and friends to join us!

Gospel of John study starts September 13

It's time.

Our Gospel of John study is just about to launch and we want you to be a part of it! Will you join other class members of all ages around the world in exploring this beloved Gospel?

The Men's BSF Evening Class starts Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at our new time and location:

• Tuesday evenings 6:45 to 8:35 p.m.
• Edmonton Chinese Alliance Church

Young Adults Satellite Discussion Group starting in September

Exciting news! We rejoice that the Young Adult Satellite Discussion Group is an official go for launch. Classes will follow the BSF schedule and will be on Thursday evenings. The group is open to singles from ages 18 to 35. You must register through the Men’s Class or Ladies' Evening Class.

Our Edmonton Young Adults Satellite Discussion Group starts Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. The location is at Lansdowne Chinese Baptist Church at 5011 122A Street NW.

We are now accepting registration and are in the process of securing leadership. Registration details will come soon. We ask that you continue to pray with us for adequate leadership. Feel free to spread the word!

New Men's Class time and location for John study

We want to let you know that we have a new class location and meeting day for our Edmonton BSF Men's Class. The BSF Men's Class will now be Tuesday evenings starting September 13, 2016. Class time will still be from 6:45 p.m. to 8:35 p.m.

Our new class location is at the new Edmonton Chinese Alliance Church building. The address is 5019 199 St NW.

We are excited to see all the wonderful things the Lord has planned through the study of His Word at BSF this year. Please invite friends, invite neighbours and come study the Gospel of John with us!

Register for the Gospel of John study!

Tonight is our last class for Men's BSF in Edmonton before we break for the summer. Although we are wrapping up our study of Revelation, we can look forward to the study of the Gospel of John coming up this September! Tonight is the last chance to pre-register for the John study.

Why should I register early?
• When you register for the fall study we can place you in a group for the beginning of the class year.

But I don’t know if I can come in the fall ...
• Registering early allows you to commit to the study of God’s Word so you can trust Him to arrange your schedule around the BSF class

Can I register online or via e-mail?
• You must register in person.

What happens when I register?
• You will receive an e-mail confirming you are registered for the John study
• If you are a previous class member you will not have to come attend a welcome class before John study
• You will be notified of our new class location, start date and time in September

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday break celebrating Christmas and welcoming the new year. There is no better way to begin the year than by committing to spending time daily in God's Word and learning how to apply it. Join us as we continue our journey through Revelation and watch the Lamb who holds all of human history in His hand.

BSF's four-step approach brings clarity to your study of the Bible, producing life change as you apply God's truth.
1. Answer daily lesson questions on your own.
2. Discuss your insights in a conversation with members of your discussion group.
3. Listen to a lecture that explains the passage, key principles from the lesson and the relevance of the Bible's truth to today's world.
4. Read lesson notes that further elaborate on the passage.

All men are welcome! If you have friends or family in the Edmonton area, who is God prompting you to bring? Bring them with you and enjoy a sweet time of fellowship together as you ride!

Our study in Revelation starts up again this Thursday, January 7th at 6:45 pm.
